By far, the most popular of these titles is Remember Charlie.  But, how did Mr. Morecraft become such an authority on workplace safety?  Who is he?  What relevance does he hold for safety training?

Of course for those who don’t know, Mr. Morecraft was involved in a very bad accident at work.  He was working on a pipe containing chemicals when a terrible accident occurred.   This mishap caused him to suffer burns over a very large portion of his body.  Following the accident he underwent several surgeries and years of follow up medical treatment.  Perhaps the saddest part, most of this accident could have been prevented with adherence to safety protocol and proper use of safety protective equipment.

Following his recovery Charlie went on to found Phoenix Safety Management.  He does many live presentations throughout the year, sells safety videos, and does many things for charity.  Above all, he continually talks about the need to use your brain while working, stay safe at all times, and follow your company’s safety protocol.
